Terms of Service & Developer Agreement

Last updated: August 21, 2026 · Version 2.2

Welcome to MCP-Bridge (https://mcpbridge.org). By accessing our web application, utilizing our client-side OpenAPI-to-MCP converter, integrating our hosted JSON configuration endpoints, downloading .cursorrules assets, or browsing our indexed Model Context Protocol directories, you agree to be bound by the following legally binding terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By accessing or using any aspect of the MCP-Bridge platform, you certify that you possess the legal capacity to enter into these Terms of Service. If you are accessing the platform on behalf of an enterprise or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree with all provisions of these Terms, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Service Architecture & Scope of Free Developer Tools

MCP-Bridge provides browser-executed developer utilities designed to accelerate adoption of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) open ecosystem. Our services include:

  • Client-Side Spec Converters: In-browser translation of OpenAPI v3.0.x and v3.1.x specifications into MCP stdio and SSE configuration files.
  • Open-Source Directory: Curated listings, health scores, and installation matrices for community and official MCP servers.
  • Configuration Generators: Instant pre-formatted snippets for Claude Desktop, Cursor IDE, VS Code (Cline/Roo Code), and Zed Editor.

All free converter utilities are provided strictly on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of uninterrupted uptime or error-free parsing execution.

3. Intellectual Property Rights & Generated Output Ownership

We believe in open-source empowerment for developers:

  • Platform Rights: The original code, user interface, brand assets, logos, and custom compilation logic of MCP-Bridge remain the intellectual property of MCP-Bridge maintainers, licensed where indicated under the MIT Open Source License.
  • User Output Ownership: You retain 100% full ownership, commercial rights, and copyright over all MCP server configurations, schemas, and .cursorrules files generated by you using our converter. MCP-Bridge claims zero intellectual property or licensing rights over your generated outputs.
  • Third-Party Trademarks: Model Context Protocol, Claude Desktop, Anthropic, Cursor, VS Code, and other third-party product names referenced on this site belong to their respective trademark holders and are cited for descriptive and compatibility identification purposes only.

4. Commercial Purchases & Merchant of Record Terms

Purchases of premium assets (e.g. curated .cursorrules stacks, enterprise config packs, or directory listing sponsorships) are subject to the following conditions:

  • Merchant of Record: All digital transactions, payment processing, tax compliance, and order fulfillment are managed by Paddle.com Market Ltd., who acts as the Merchant of Record.
  • License Grant: Upon completed payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide digital license to use the purchased rule stacks or configuration assets in personal and commercial engineering projects.
  • Refund Terms: Digital downloads and instant-access configuration bundles are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. User Conduct & Acceptable Use Policy

When utilizing MCP-Bridge, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or execute denial-of-service attacks against our edge network infrastructure.
  • Upload malicious code, exploits, or dangerous scripts designed to compromise AI client runtime environments.
  • Submit fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious API specifications to our public directory or community registries.
  • Bypass or manipulate rate-limiting protocols or automated crawler defenses.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Technical Accuracy

MCP configurations and code snippets generated by our tools are produced via automated schema translation. Because third-party API specifications may contain inaccuracies, breaking changes, or incomplete parameter descriptions, MCP-Bridge makes no guarantees regarding the operational accuracy, reliability, or security posture of third-party MCP servers indexed in our directory.

Developers must exercise independent review and testing before executing tool calls against production database systems or authorizing write/delete privileges in AI coding assistants.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall MCP-Bridge, its creators, maintainers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data corruption, workstation malfunction, or cloud billing overages) arising out of or related to your use of this service or third-party MCP integrations.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith informal negotiation before seeking formal legal remedies.
